Following the rituals the women offered ‘Chandan’ on the forehead of CM Biplab Kumar Deb and wished for his well being. Carrying forward the ceremony in traditional style, sisters perform aarti for their brother and apply a red tika on the brother's forehead.

However, sharing the importance of the day, CM Biplab Kumar Deb  also took an oath to always stand up for the safety and security of the  women in the state.

Best wishes on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, a parv which strengthens the pious bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters, added CM.
