CPI-M opposes the 12 hour ADC bandh
By Our Correspondent, 11/01/2019, Agartala

Opposition CPI-M spokesperson Bijan Dhar on Friday in a press meet opposed the 12 hour ADC bandh called by the Indigenous National Party of Tripura (INPT), another tribal-based party. Addressing the press meet, CPI-M spokesperson Bijan Dhar stated that the leftist totally opposes the 12 hours ADC bandh.

CPI-M is highly concerned about the law and order of the state and promoting the strike will disturb the peace and harmony among the tribal’s and non tribal’s of the state.

Tribal organizations such as INPT, NCT, TSP, DYP, support the Bandh. The IPFT-Tepraha group has joined hands with them. One more step ahead, they are giving tribal candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.

Several protesters were injured in clashes with the police in Tripura during an agitation against the Citizenship Bill. Some protesters sustained bullet injuries after the police opened fire at protesters as they blocked the NH-8 which connects Tripura with Assam.
