NESO Chief Advisor condemned the firing incident during Bandh

Tripura's emergency situation is underway, no democracy and no inhuman here in the state, Chief Advisor of North East Student Organisation (NESO) Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharya claimed today.

Addressing a news conference at Agartala Press Club here this afternoon Bhattacharya said the NESO was not in favour of bandh culture, but after a gapping the central Government forced them to go for a bandh.

“After a long gap NESO called a NE bandh opposing the citizenship (Amendment) Bill-2016 and here in Tripura the Twipra student Federation (TSF) also opposed the bill and blocked the National Highway in a democratic way and in a peaceful manner but the government opened fired on them and six people were injured with bullet injuries”, He said.

He also said Tripura government should not thing TSF and Indigenous of the Tripura are not alone. All the seven states are with them. Nobody can stop us. There was no magistrate during the firing, they can bit people, they can fire people but they cannot keep us mum. We are fighting and we will be fight back.

However he aso demanded a judicial inquiry by the sitting judge of the High court, officers who were engaged in the firing should be booked, Compensation should be given to them and dismissing the cases against the leaders participated in the blockade.
